Part II | Homebound Collection
Textile, Wearable, Photography
The photos used in Memoriweave were all taken during 2022-2023, a time when I traveled a lot. While these memories expanded my view of the world and my sense of self, they also deepened my appreciation for home and the stability it brings. Through Memoriweave, I wanted to capture and express this realization—blending elements of my travel memories with the feeling of valuing home.
A Bag for Keys
. This is an object that might does not exist in the world: A Bag for Keys. The bag only just for house keys, symbolizes the sense of home that I cherish. It reflects the simple act of entering a space that is mine alone, connecting me to comfort and familiarity.
Beoseon
The theme of "contrast" expanded on the differences between foreign countries and Korea. The beoseon (버선), a traditional Korean sock with a unique curved design, was chosen as a symbol of home, connecting to Korean roots. Traditionally crafted to provide warmth and comfort, beoseon is often worn indoors, especially during colder seasons.
Made with digitally printed fabric, it takes on a fresh, contemporary feel in this interpretation.
